A teenage girl, Sienna, a troubled friend of his daughter, comes to Joe O'Loughlin's door one night. She is terrorized, incoherent, and covered in blood.
The police find Sienna's father, a former cop, murdered in their home. Tests confirm it's his blood on Sienna. She doesn‘t remember anything.
Joe is a psychologist with troubles of his own, but he tries to help Sienna, but she is unreachable, unable to mourn her father's death or to explain it.

The 4th book did not disappoint! This books was simply gripping, the development of joe, his family and Ruiz has been great. Especially in this book.

Overall a decent mystery, but dragged in some areas.

Also started listening to a new book last night. Back into my favorite genre.

When you've had a horrible day and your life feels like its falling apart so you try and go read and then remember you're almost done with the book 😭😭😭 I absolutely loved this book and I am beyond upset that its over. I mean honestly, this was everything I could ever want in a mystery novel and I cannot say enough good things about it!

Another cool quote I found while reading tonight! I kind of related to this because anytime anything bad ever happens, I find myself quickly trying to find excuses for why and how it happened in order to better explain it and understand. Anyone else feel this way or am I just crazy?! Btw... Staying on campus tonight with my cousin at Miami Oxford! I love it here!!! 😍😍😍

"I'm not strong enough to live with you, Joe. I'm barely strong enough to live without you." .... This quote struck a particular chord with me while reading it. I am by no means an emotionally attached person and don't believe in true love or any of that sort of thing but this got me to thinking, is there anyone I feel like this towards?? Anyways this book though >>> ???

Starting Bleed For Me today! Took me soooo long to pick a new book to read because I was still mentally processing my last one 😭😂 but I'm excited to begin this novel, anyone else read it?
