The Island Bride | 
pickLove these old Harlequins. Although it's more a novel about Cara and her new job and her mean boss who is out to make her life miserable than a romance novel. The book is just under 200 pages, and 100 pages in the heroine and the hero had only seen each three times, and two of those were very brief meetings. But I loved Cara and was deeply invested in her life, and very much enjoyed the book, even if the romantic resolution was a little rushed.
