Loved this! Can‘t wait for the next one.

As cozy murder stories go, this one is excellent. Throughout the story, Nora Breen grows on you. She starts uncertainly but grows into her own. Her instincts are eerily spot on and she learns to trust them. Mysterious disappearances, poisoning, accidents, spirits(?). I did not figure out who the murderer was and was surprised. This is such an entertaining read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Started Fearless today; almost at the end of the Blue Train. finished the other books this past week. Murder at the Gulls Nest is a standout.Between the indomitable Nora Breen‘s character & the audiobook‘s narrator, Siobhan McSweeney‘s voice, I was both enthralled & enchanted. #sundaybuddyread #AgathaChristieClubR3 #ChristieCapers #NoraBreenInvestigates #readyourkindle #ThematicCozies #Books #September #historicalfiction

Friday in 10th grade English we discussed euphemisms. I cane across this perfect example while listening to the tagged book. #audiobook #NoraBreenInvestigates

This is billed as a cozy, and it is in the sense that murder happens off the page, but there's some weirdness and some dark dreams and drawings. The mystery plot was good and the characters were memorable. I hope it becomes a series.

This is the first book in what is to be a new series (Nora Breen Investigates) featuring a former nun and it is set in 1954 England. It felt a little deeper than a cozy mystery but still had that comfortable and easy feel and I really enjoyed it. It is character driven and the author certainly created a cast of interesting ones. I also loved the relationship between Nora, (the nun) and Rideout (the cop). I look forward to more. 4.25/5

I had a hard time seeing the Nora we meet on the page as a nun for 30 years. But I really liked the dynamic she had with the Inspector and the mystery was well plotted. I‘ll likely pick up the next, if the series continues.

Nora looks out at the priceless view. There‘s a break in the cloud and enough blue to clothe any number of sailors.

My gran used to say this - an expression I've not heard in a while.

This is the first book in a cozy mystery series following Nora Breen, a former nun who has left her monastery to investigate the disappearance of her pen pal and also former nun, Freida. It felt like an episode of Midsomer Murders and I really enjoyed it! I liked the small town atmosphere and Nora‘s character, and her banter with the Inspector was top notch. I‘m definitely looking forward to continuing the series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you #Atria Books and #NetGalley for providing this #ARC Advance Reading Copy. Expected publication date is April 8, 2025.
