"Dating the undead is a bad idea. Everybody in Morganville knows that--everybody breathing, that is." Ever stopped reading a series you liked because there were SO many books? I paused w/#11, but this new short story collection looks intriguing.
Kristina I read the first book of this series because I've heard so many great things. It was a tad too juvenile for me. I take it, it gets better? 10y
Escapismfanatic I've not tried this series although heard great things about it. It sounds like old school vampire books when it just took off. 10y
misswendyd It's a fun, light-hearted series. I got a little tired of the stories dragging out after so many installments, but I'll probably pick up the rest now that the series is done. Lucky you, you don't have to wait at all! 10y

misswendyd @Kristina It does skew a little younger in tone than other YA vampire books. I think the characters grow over time, but if you weren't into the first one, I don't know if you'd enjoy the rest. 1/2 10y
misswendyd Have you tried Chloe Neill's ChicagolandVampires series? It's adult, but it's a really easy transition for YA readers (she's in grad school). Most Vampire Academy fans will like it, Merit is super snarky and badass. Great action/romance. 10y
Escapismfanatic @misswendyd That's always good for a long series. Luckily I have the first book to get me started.😊 10y
Kristina I have read the first 4 in the Chicagoland series. They were really good! I was waiting for more to come out before I continued to read. I really wanted the love interest to get straightened out! 10y
misswendyd @Kristina Yeah, I had the same issue with Chicagoland as I did Morganville--so. many. books. I left off three books ago, but I'm about to catch up. They're so good, though! I'm glad you like them, too. A lot of people gave up after HARD BITTEN. 10y
