1 post | 1 read | 1 to read
Omeria is a YA fantasy trilogy inspired by ancient Minoan and North African culture, where fifteen-year old Omneta aspires to do more than follow in her grandmother's wool and dye making trade. When she is taken on a Vision Journey by a shaman-like character and discovers that she is the prophesied Last First Daughter of Omeria, she hesitates at first. How can she be this prophesized one?

Mehso-so

I found this book in a Little Free Library. I was still thinking about Sue Kidd‘s The Book of Longings and was excited to see Omeria seemed to take place in a similar period and have parallel themes.

That being said, this book is one I have not stopped thinking about. I read Omeria Book 1 mid-year, and I find my mind wandering back to the story time and time again, wondering what happens to Omneta, the bull dancers, and their people.
