No wonder I've always found the concept of Paganism confusing, there are so many different things that fall under this umbrella, but this book is helping me start to sort out the differences. Not quite 50 pages in so I still have lots of learning to do.

wanderinglynn Yeah, pretty much anything that fell outside what the early Christians felt wasn‘t Christian, particularly polytheism, was deemed paganism. Today it‘s kind of morphed to encompass anyone who believes that nature is sacred and that the natural cycles of birth, growth and death observed in the world around us carry profoundly spiritual meanings. 5mo
Cuilin @wanderinglynn perfect definition regarding nature and cycles. 😍 5mo
wanderinglynn @Cuilin thanks. Although I can‘t take credit for it. I read that in a book once. (I just can‘t remember which one.) But the thought stuck with me. 5mo
CuriousG @wanderinglynn I'm still trying to wrap my head around how much/little of the deity part is tied in (vs the more generic celebrating the natural world as seasons/cycles), but hoping this helps clarify a bit. 5mo
