Pickpick

This sweet little book features a baby bird, Chickadee Chick as he learns how to fly. His impatience earns him a few bumps along the way. One day he overhears the boys who feed them talking… they are moving to the city to work for the summer! Who will feed all of the birds now?!! Chickadee Chick shares the news with his parents. His parents and all the other birds began to worry. They need to make a new plan. Will they (Cont in comments)...

TheHeartlandBookFairy need to move? They go to check out a neighboring farm. While they're gone Chickadee Chick tries to fly again and once again ends up in trouble but this time, the boys who filled the feeders come to his rescue. Chickadee Chick knows hes going to be in trouble with his parents for disobeying but the news he has to bring them might just cheer them up. There's a sweet lesson in this book about rushing. For Chickadee Chick it's rushing to learn how to fly before hes fully ready. For his parents and the other birds, it's about rushing to judgment before before knowing the whole story. Trust and in the end, everything works out just fine. 2y
