I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

This one was new to me and: What a let down! Uhura spends most of the book in the background not talking. She's supposed to be solving this and we don't see her solving much. She has so few POV chapters, I don't remember one (mostly Kirk and McCoy POV). And the song? It isn't even hers. It's Sunfall of Ennien's. The actual hero is Evan Wilson, who's not on the cover. It's a romp. It had great aliens, but it's not what's advertized. At all.

Uhura, Spock, Cat-people? What's not to be excited about?!

Boyfriend and I went browsing in the used bookstores today, and I found this. Neither of us have read a Star Trek novel before, but this one seemed fun (there weren't enough episodes with Uhura, let's be real.) We decided to make this a read-aloud. ❤

By far, the best sight at Comicon, although I did not elect to spend $50 to get her autograph.

I was lucky to be given these last night by an friend who has to clear out books due to a space issue. I'll be getting more from her next week. I love these books and had all the numbered series of the original Star Trek books but had to get rid of them, and countless more books, when I moved to England. It really put a smile on my face to get a part of my childhood back.

Two summer essentials: a window air conditioner and a great Star Trek novel.
