Petit Déjeuner À Paris
Petit Déjeuner À Paris: A Story in Easy French with Translation, Vol. 1 | France Dubin
2 posts | 1 read | 4 to read
Jacqueline, an American divorcée, is going to Paris for the first time in her life. In this magical city, she will discover many surprises, including about herself. With this fun novel, written in easy French, we visit the city of lights with Jacqueline. It's a fantastic way to learn new vocabulary and to travel to Paris! Reading a book in French can be difficult, even for advanced learners. French novels are usually full of idiomatic expressions. They use complicated tenses, complex sentence structures, and often slang. This book, written in easy French, is recommended for French learners with a basic understanding of French at a pre-intermediate level and above. The book is divided into two sections: Section 1 has the story written completely in French and includes vocabulary and grammar exercises. Section 2 contains the complete translation in English and answers to all the exercises so that readers can check their comprehension.

I love this little trilogy on kindle unlimited! The first half of the book is the story completely in French with questions to quiz you at the end of each chapter. The second half is the English translation. I love that I can get completely immersed in a book written totally in French and understand more than 95% of it. It‘s very helpful to those learning French and I highly recommend it. Looking forward to book 3! 🇫🇷

JanuarieTimewalker13 C‘est Magnifique!! I had 4 semesters of college French about 13 years ago...I should get these books! 2y
JenlovesJT47 @JanuarieTimewalker13 you should! They‘re really helpful and the author is pretty funny. Lots of little bits of humor sprinkled throughout. I like how at the end there‘s a list of common phrases in French and he sneaks in how to say “you have a cute butt†at the end 😆 2y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Haha!! That‘s great!!! Thanks!! 2y

This little trilogy on kindle unlimited is quite enjoyable. This review is for book 2 (not in the system).

Book 2 tells of Jacqueline‘s 2nd jaunt to Paris, her first being 6 years ago. She‘s hoping to reconnect with Steven, whom she met on her first trip. Things don‘t go exactly as planned but it ends up being quite the adventure in the end.

The first half of the book is the story in French, with it translated to English in the second half. ⬇ï¸

JenlovesJT47 I actually found myself getting very drawn into this story and I understood about 98% of it, which is very exciting to me! I‘m really looking forward to the next book in the series. 4âï¸ #LearningFrench 🇫🇷 3y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Oooh, I love that idea of it being written in French and followed up in English. C‘est Magnifique! Lol...I love the language, took 4 semesters, remember close to little. Ok, at least I know today is Jeudi. Lol 3y
JenlovesJT47 @JanuarieTimewalker13 French is such a beautiful language! I fell in love with it, which motivates me to keep at it. I‘ve been doing it for 2 years so far. This series would be really good as a refresher course! 3y
