Is This a Dagger Which I See Before Me?
Is This a Dagger Which I See Before Me? | William Shakespeare
1 post
'And when I shall die, Take him and cut him out in little stars.' This collection of Shakespeare's soliloquies, including both old favourites and lesser-known pieces, shows him at his dazzling best. One of 46 new books in the bestselling Little Black Classics series, to celebrate the first ever Penguin Classic in 1946. Each book gives readers a taste of the Classics' huge range and diversity, with works from around the world and across the centuries - including fables, decadence, heartbreak, tall tales, satire, ghosts, battles and elephants.

When your friend goes to France for his honeymoon and texts you four magic words: "Do you want anything?" Mais OUI.
I have the boxset of the first 80 Little Black Classics but Penguin keeps releasing more and I can't resist! They're short reads and a great introduction to authors I've never read before or novellas from authors I have read.

Twocougs Darn you, I didn't know. I'm going to have to collect 81+ now😉 3y
Treatyoshelf @Twocougs And the first 80 are only 80p each, part of Penguin's 80th anniversary celebration last year. The boxset is a better deal and comes in a nice case. 3y
Twocougs I have the first 80, but now I need 81 on 3y

quirkyreader Yes we are typical book people, my sister lives in Paris and I asked her to go to Shakespeare and Co. for me to get some s 3y
quirkyreader Darn stupid iPad keys. I had her get some Steinbeck's that are hard to find stateside. Maybe around the holidays I might ask her to go again. As we all know new books are expensive. 3y
Treatyoshelf @quirkyreader Ooh, definitely. If one of my relatives lived in Paris, I would be harassing them nonstop haha. Hopefully there are good sales around the holidays. 3y
