Fault Lines
Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe | Voddie T. Baucham
4 posts | 3 read | 1 to read
"In this powerful book, Voddie Baucham, a preacher, professor, and cultural apologist, explains the sinister worldview behind the social justice movement and Critical Race Theory--revealing how it already has infiltrated some seminaries, leading to internal denominational conflict, canceled careers, and lost livelihoods. Like a fault line, it threatens American culture in general--and the evangelical church in particular."--From publisher's description.

In his excellent book, Voddie addresses the Social Justice Movement and how it and CRT are infiltrating the Evangelical Christian church. He makes the case for standing on the Truth of Scripture to fight against the social "gospel" forwarded by BLM and the proponents of CRT.

This is one of the most important books I've read in years. Voddie is a prominent, black preacher. In this book, he warns of the looming catastrophe being brought on by CRT/I and its acceptance in evangelical circles. This book is well-researched with plenty of footnotes to sources including CRT/I texts and proponents. I think this is a must-read for both sides of the argument. Enough said. No controversy desired. please. I left FB to avoid that.

BookwormM What is CRT? 3y
BookDadGirlDad @BookwormM CRT is Critical Race Theory. It is the basis of the current movement calling racism systemic, reparations, hegemony based on white supremacy, etc 3y
BookwormM Thank you 😊 3y

Next up on my reading. I've seen this book around and think it may be one of the more important reads I do this year. It is unfortunate that evangelicalism is falling prey to some of the misguided ideologies and pressure of the social justice movement. (I want no controversy. I would have stayed on FB for that. 😃)

Butterfinger I love and appreciate that last note. Welcome to Litsy. 3y
