As the country mourns the passing of Queen Victoria, Inspector Cornelius Armstrong finds himself wrestling with a series of complex investigations that threaten to overwhelm the City Police Force. Pickpick

A Superb Edwardian Police Procedural story at its very best. From the first to last page there is never a dull moment. Excitement, mystery and the unexpected is what this book is about. The author with minimal description will make you feel that you are in the same room as the Victims, relatives or accompanying the police on their duty, even in the cell with the criminals. A lack proof reading has meant a lot of mistakes are present throughout.

After waiting for three years for volume four to be published I only discovered by chance the it had eventually been published in December 2020 while selling books on Ebay. I have now ordered it and awaiting delivery. This is an excellent series of books.
