Pickpick

A very quaint and sweet little book. The cover says "A Hearth Romance", but there was practically no romance until the very end. Instead it's a story about family and keeping faith and persevering through hardships.

Halfway through this quaint little book, and learned a new word - shitepoke. I had to google it, it means heron, but was also an affectionate teasing word to call a child, which is how it‘s used in this book.
