Louie and Ralphie Ratsos dad, Big Lou, always says that there are two kinds of people: those who are tough and those who are soft. Louie and Ralphie are tough, tough, tough, just like Big Lou, and theyre going to prove it. But every time they try to show just how tough they are, the Ratso brothers end up accidentally doing good deeds instead. Whatll Big Lou do when he finds out theyve been acting like softies all over the Big City? Perfect for emerging and reluctant readers, this clever and surprisingly warmhearted chapter book shows that being tough all the time can be really tough.

4⭐️ This books are just so much fun. This early chapter book revolves around Louie and his brother Ralphie. There is a poetry contest happening at schools and the boys are determined to enter and win. But Louie gets distracted when his friend Chuck wants help wooing the cute bunny Fluffy. A great book for beginners, but still an enjoyable read for seasoned vets.

Think Arthur but without DW. The Ratsos make bad choices that accidentally turn out to have good consequences for others.
