“If I had a hundred dollars to spend, or maybe a little more, I‘d hurry as fast as my legs would go straight to the animal store. I wouldn‘t say, “how much for this or that?” “What kind of dog is he?” I‘d buy as many as rolled an eye, or wagged a tail at me!”

I would absolutely have this book in my classroom. There are poems of all different kinds and all different topics. I know I would find a poem that every child would enjoy reading. I would love to have a different poem to read every single day with my class

Published in 2012- Forget Me Nots is an extensive book of children‘s poetry which covers all different kinds of poems for all different readers. The poems I particularly loved in this book were the animal poems. The author used repetition and rhymes to make the poems fun and exciting to read. Children would be able to follow along and read these poems with ease

Forget-Me-Nots by Mart Ann Hoberman published in 2012 was a numerous amount of cute little poems about all sorts of different topics. One title I read was The Animal Store. It was adorable! It was talking about a little girl is she had a hundred dollars would spend it all on animals (pets) another one was titled Chums. It was about a girls pet dog who thought she belonged to him and how they belong to eachother. Children would love these poems.

I chose this whole poem as my quote because it is one of my all time favorite poems. I love Emily Dickinson‘s work and I was so happy to see that the author included this piece.
