This is a classic story that has been retold, and a staple in your classroom library. The illustrations in the book will have students engaged, while giving students who can read in Spanish the opportunity to read a book in their native tongue.

Emma_Barcena This text's genre is TL. This specific retelling has not received any awards. This book would best be used in a RT. This video resource shows a storytelling example, but it would be a good example to show for students to see how to preform for a RT.

Emma_Barcena The UDL Principles 1.1 & 8.4 will be used by customizing the information that is displayed from the text and by providing oriented feedback to students. The EL Principles 24 & 25 will be used with the UDL principles by using the language of second language learners in the curriculum and by using second language acquisition strategies in the curriculum. #UCFLAE3414su20 4y
ashleyshugars Emma, I LOVE your resource! I clicked on it and expected it to be your storytelling but was shocked when I saw that lady getting into character! Children would LOVE THIS!! 4y
DrSpalding I like the bilingual version you have selected. Exposing students to another language is a smart choice. I like that you included a storytelling example and the opportunity for students to participate in a readers theater. 4y
