There are many good series set on a boat in the historical fiction genre. One of my favourites is the Thomas Kydd series by Julian Goodwin, but it seems the least well know. Now there are 24 books in that series.

Kydd: A Novel | Julian Stockwin

For everyone that likes Historical Seafaring Stories set in the nautical age, I have to recommend this little known series that I love. This is the first book in the series in which Kydd is pressganged! #bodyofwater.
