Think I'm going to curl up and try to finish this book finally. First snow of the season and waiting on the emergency plumber because our pipes started backing up last night! At least the snow is pretty? Still not exactly how I wanted to spend my Saturday.

Cortg Perfect day for reading! Bummer about the pipe though 😕 6y

"(He) was, in my opinion, entirely sincere even in his self-contradictions. For his is a humorless mind that simply excludes the need for consistency that might distress more intellectual types. To an actor the truth is anything that lies in its effect: if it makes the right impression it is true."

He's talking about Hitler. This book would be fascinating if it didn't feel like I was reading about modern politics. That makes it terrifying.
