Story of the Gettysburg Address | 
We get a LOT of old books at the Book Sorting - lots of them are teachers‘ libraries that they‘re clearing out. This one (from 1969, ChicagoPress) came in in a set of history books. The Mount Vernon book makes no mention of the enslaved people as “slaves” but calls them “servants”. or “craftsmen.” Glad this one lays it right out there.
