My least favorite book in the series so far.

There weren't enough moments of levity to break up the nonstop hostility and bickering between the main characters. Jack was a jerk to Mary for years, but the book REALLY wanted you to know how broken he was and laid it on pretty thick; it felt like a ham-fisted attempt at excusing his behavior. Mary was a boring doormat, and Jack didn't really to work for her forgiveness.

Didn‘t love this one as much as I wanted to #darkestlondon

Book 4 of the Darkest London series, and definitely the darkest so far. I dropped this one to ⭐⭐⭐ and with that I think I am done with this series.

I always read an author's dedication and/or acknowledgement. I think it gives me a peek into her personality. This one is from the tagged book which I started earlier this week.
