Who loves a rainy day? Kids like us!" Fwoom! As the yellow bus pulls away, on a gray drizzle day, who takes off in it? Riders like us!" A rainy day isn?t going to dampen the spirits of these preschoolers. As they empty their toy box, they become bus drivers and firefighters, dinosaurs and hungry bears. Every item they find is inspiration for a new activity. And each spread features a new color of the rainbow?like the one that curves outside the window when the sun comes out at the end of their fun-filled day.

Kids Like Us by Carole Scaefer, 2008. Picture book. This book was really good! The message behind the book is something I think is very important for kids especially at a young age, they can do/be anything they want to be. It does not matter their race or if they are a boy or girl. I also liked when the book mentioned a color the word was in that color. The illustrations were also interesting to look at.
