pickThis is such a powerful and heartbreaking story. The author really does quite a job at making you relate to a teenage girl who throws her baby in the garbage. She makes you sympathetic to a character that normally you would judge and hate just based on principle. This book is extremely graphic and a hard read, but worth it if you can get past the difficult subject matter.
panI wish I had the space to go point by point on all my issues with this book. However, since I don't, then what I will say is that it was a difficult read, and not for the reasons the author was looking for. The characters were all entirely unbelievable and unrealistic. Every single person was a caricature. It's a lot harder to forgive something like that when the book is about such serious subject matter. Had to force myself to finish this one.

"After" by Amy Efaw. I think the minimalist cover is great but the story seems like to much of a tear jerker for me.
