This NF picture book introduces children to the different time periods (Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous) as well as dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. Throughout the book it compares and contrasts different dinosaurs. I didn‘t know that scientists studied fossilized footprints to determine how fast they were. The book also provides the sounded out version of each name, which is great because these were tough even for me. #ucflae3414su19

DawnS This could tie together Science and Lang. Arts. The words being sounded out helps meet ESOL 12: teach to two objectives, language and content. You could utilize IR or SR to assist with advanced terminology. https://www.amnh.org/learn-teach/curriculum-collections/dinosaurs-activities-and... has a ton of different resources and tying these together would fit UDL 5.1 use multiple media for communication. Also kids love dinosaurs! 5y
DrSpalding This is part of the science curriculum in second grade! Nice resource and I like that you were thinking in an interdisciplinary way! 5y
