On my way through Austin airport yesterday I had to snap a quick photo of the airport branch of Book People. 🙂 I wonder how many airport bookstores are indie operated? I bet in the US anyway that there aren‘t a lot. Just guessing though.

I didn‘t even stop to look, as my out of town reading is generally on my kindle. Though I may pop in to a bookstore or two today, we‘ll see. (I‘m in Asheville NC for a long weekend.)

wanderinglynn Enjoy Asheville! If you get a chance & like chocolate, I recommend the Chocolate Fetish 😋 https://www.chocolatefetish.com/contact-us/directions-hours/ 8mo
TheSpineView Love browsing airport bookstores. Enjoy Asheville. Be careful if you go downtown. It is no longer safe. 8mo

Soubhiville @TheSpineView @wanderinglynn thanks! I‘m planning to stick to West Asheville today since that‘s where I‘m staying. I‘m on my own while my friend at school today. There‘s a coffee shop/used bookstore/plant shop I might check out. 😊 (edited) 8mo
SamAnne Aunties operates a branch out of the Spokane WA airport! And I think Powells still has one at the Portland Airport. (edited) 8mo
TheSpineView @Soubhiville West Asheville is cool. Lots of great restaurants. Love the vibe there. Try Biscuit Head. Mr. K's used Bookshop on the east is well worth a visit. Then there is Malaprops and Battery Park Book Exchange and Champaign Bar downtown. If you go to those go during the day. If you have time go to RAD (River Arts District) and 12 Bones. 8mo
ChaoticMissAdventures @SamAnne yes PDX still has Powells in the terminal! 8mo
Soubhiville @TheSpineView I did go to Biscuit Head! Lol, that‘s where I had lunch, their little back patio is sweet. Food was amazing. I ended up going to Bagatelle Books, which is attached to a tiny cafe and a beautiful houseplant store. Wish I could get a plant into my suitcase! I‘m here through Monday so May get to some other spots. Malaprops has always been a favorite of mine. 🩵 8mo
