RealBooks4ever @Leftcoastzen Ok, this pic seemed very very familiar to me, so I searched online and as soon as I saw the oversize cover I knew that it was in our home when I was a child! Gratefully someone had posted a few more inside pages and I remembered reading them over and over! Immediately I had to have it again and found a seller of a pretty good copy. Thank you so much for leading me to this wonderful forgotten memory! 💜 6y

Leftcoastzen @RealBooks4ever I‘m so glad! This is the original one that was in our family, it had been in storage for years.I loved it too ,those illustrations and poems influenced me greatly as a kid. 6y

ValerieAndBooks This illustrator feels so familiar to me! Not sure we had this particular book, but probably at least one other illustrated by her. Evidently she did many but I have yet to find a full list of all the books she did. 6y

Leftcoastzen @ValerieAndBooks Yes, it‘s hard to get good information.A lot of the book illustrators were unsung , just working job to job in the art department .I love her style . 6y
