Ok. Just finished this massive book! Classic fantasy.... Enjoyable escapism. I feel like whole book was one giant prequel & the meat of the story is to come in the following books. (I really should have started with the magician.)

Ok I'm really in the mood for some classic fantasy. I have never read any of Raymond Feist before so while I wait ( how long????) for George R.R. Martin to hurry up I will start here with Shadow of a Dark Queen.

Lizpixie You really need to start with Magician, the very first Midkemia book. He's written so many since then, I have a thirty year old signed copy that's very battered and loved. 8y
