Looking over the synopses of several popular romance authors' books (variations of "he won't take no for an answer"...see pic) and flipping to random paragraphs (variations of him getting turned on while undressing a barely conscious woman...e.g. Lara Adrian) reminds me why I gave up on het romance. ???
panOmg! What‘s wrong with the men in the 📚? A Father who act like an ostrich when his Daughter calls for help and a man who‘s lusting her since she‘s 18 & determined to keep her in his 🏠 doing nothing. Like a doll. And a crazy obsessive ex added to the list. #lindahoward #romance
so-soI didn't love this one. The hero was a touch too alpha male, and the heroine didn't have quite enough backbone. There were also some plot issues that went unresolved.
Next up: HEARTBREAKER by Linda Howard. This one's due back to the library in a couple days, so time to get to it.
