Wild Rover No More
Wild Rover No More: Being the Last Recorded Account of the Life & Times of Jacky Faber | L. A. Meyer
6 posts | 9 read | 3 to read
Jacky Faber is framed as passing confidential U.S. information to the British. Forced to flee Boston, she goes undercover as a governess for a prominent Puritan family. When outed by a nosy postmaster, she deserts the respectability of her position, dons a leotard and slippers, and poses as a Russian tightrope walker in a traveling circus. But the law soon catches up with her, and prospects do not look good. Through her many adventures, Jacky has always found the ingenuity to escape dire situations, but this time it looks like Puss in Boots has run out of lives . . . and her happily-ever-after will be cut short at the foot of the gallows.

Oh Jacky! I‘m sad my reread of this series on audio is over, you‘ve gotten me through such a rough patch these past 6 months and it‘s been great to discuss you‘re h with my friend online and I‘ve thrown your books at so many people these past few months as a recommendation. I forgot this one has a little dedication in the honor of LA Meyer passing. Since then Katherine Kellgren the narrator has also passed as well. Such an end to a series!!

TheAromaofBooks Love it when a series comes together in the end!!! 3y

It was bittersweet reading the last Bloody Jack book. Jacky is in top form and getting in her usual hijinks. The ending was fun and surprising. I have been reading this series (12 books long) since I stumbled across when I was 12. I was saddened when I learned the author died. I‘m glad he got to finish the series how he wanted.
I‘ll miss you Jacky! 📚🤓⚓️

In Jackie's wildest dreams, she never would be captured, but left alone to sail and be an honest business woman!

I started reading the Bloody Jack series years and years ago, and it always was a delight. I've enjoyed watching the books continue, and now, finally seeing the last one. I look forward to catching up to it! #booksalehaul 1

This was one of my absolute favorite books/series growing up. Such that, when the author passed away, I was truly heartbroken. If you love adventure, history, and sassy heroines you are in for a treat. https://thebookwench.com/2015/11/18/featured-favorites-the-bloody-jack-series-by...
