#LetsTravelJuly Day 18: This gorgeous board book makes use of certain elements from the original story, e.g. the fashion used at the time in #Russia – alongside the notable characters from the novel to highlight accessories, clothing, shoes, hairstyle – just to cite a few. so-so

Cute read, and I do like that it had quotes from the book. However the questions like “Can you find the bird” seemed silly to me. Little Missus liked the art and turning the pages.

2⭐️ This book is just a primer to the story of Anna Karenina and while it is beautiful, it just doesn‘t work for me. It‘s all about hair pins, flowers, boots, etc. Not the best easy translation.
