Audiobook pick:
This was a sci fi novella that really delivered. I admit I didn't research the title prior and was a bit shocked when I later realized it was first published in 1909. It's amazing how much insight into future technology people would have. This is stark, bleak, and insightful.

🎧 this reminded me of several sci-fi movies.

Short story where the global machine runs everything & people live in isolated pods … until the machine crashes.

Good short story, a bit old school?

A “Pick” because I am impressed by E. M. Forster‘s forecast of today‘s customs. Yet some of the audio plays elements (the choir) was a bit exaggerated to me.

I like that the story is like a mirror – even if it‘s creepy.

It definitely gave me something to think.

Couldn‘t remember I put that on hold. But I must have done. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Just a short audiobook while I‘m cooking. The audio play is done well – but the content is a bit weird. Although I of course know where the plot is supposed to be going to.

Eine kurze Erzählung, die die Vereinsamung und geistige Nichtigkeit des technisierten (digitalisierten?) Menschen vorweg nimmt. Ein must-read im Jahre 2017!
