4⭐️ This book is one big metaphor for depression. It‘s meant for kids to learn that they are not the only ones and that it is okay to ask for help. The metaphor might be a little strong for younger kids, but I think 4 year olds and up would understand what is going on. This book would be an asset to classroom libraries, doctors offices, and individuals. As a plus the illustrations are fun and really help convey the message.

MyNamesParadise Sounds like something I could benefit from reading now. It‘s good there are children‘s books to teach them about depression. I‘m not sure there were books like this when I was a kid. 5y
LibrarianRyan @MyNamesParadise not a lot of them no. Do you remember the old commercials for Boys Town? They now have a “press” and put out mainly books to help with different abilities or other specialities. Some of the books are better than others. I‘ll be honest I do t like a lot of theses but I‘m glad they are making them. 5y
MyNamesParadise @LibrarianRyan No I haven‘t heard of them! This is great though. The other day i read where a 10-year-old had killed himself after being bullied. It‘s good to know there are books like this. 5y
