I would definitely use this book in my classroom. The author does a great job of describing MLK's life. The book is written in a simple way that young children will understand. The illustrations are beautiful.

This is a historical fiction book about Martin Luther King Jr. This book is about how great of a leader he was. The book starts out with his childhood and how he liked to go to church and play football with his friends. Martin was always very sad and thought the color of his skin shouldn't matter to anyone. He hated the “Whites Only“ signs. Martin was a smart student in school. He graduated and married. This book tells about the protests he led.

I love how this book gives real-life situations that happened in Martin‘s life as a young boy, and uses them to show how he developed his great and unwavering passion for equality.
