The Making of Hitchcock's The Birds
The Making of Hitchcock's The Birds | Tony Lee Moral
1 post | 1 read
The most innovative and technically challenging of Hitchcock's films, The birds spawned many imitators and triggered the cycle for a series of disaster and man-versus-nature films. Moral charts every aspect of the film's production, and provides the ultimate guide to Hitchcock's most ambitious film.

Day 15 - #TheBirds #HorrorSeason

I watched this movie as a teenager and found it very scary. Afterwards I was attacked by some birds while walking to my friends house. Scary too!

Sleepswithbooks Gaaahhhh @EadieB !!! Those swooping beaks are terrifying!!! 4y
EadieB @Stacypatrice Yes they are! 4y
Klou OMG really? That must have been traumatic after watching a horror about birds! This is one of the few on the list that I haven't seen yet. It does sound good though. 4y

EadieB @Klou It was traumatic. They were swooping down into my hair and I was swatting at them with my sweater that I was carrying. 4y
Klou @EadieB oh my gosh!!! 4y
EadieB @Klou Totally unbelievable! 4y
plemmdog I saw it for the first time recently at a pandemic drive-in. It provoked a lot of discussion about the roles of women and nature (I also didn‘t realize it‘s based on a Daphne du Maurier story). I still can‘t believe Jessica Tandy played the widow (Driving Miss Daisy!) 4y
EadieB @plemmdog Yes Daphne Du Maurier did write the book. Tandy was in a lot a movies. She‘s a great actress! 4y
