Did you know that Puerto Rico is smaller than all of the U.S. states except Rhode Island & Delaware or that it‘s unofficial symbol is a tree frog called the coquí? Include this book in your classroom for everyone to learn more about the history and culture of Puerto Rico ??! #UCFLAE3414SP18

WendyV It‘s important to include other cultures in your curriculum, especially those of any ESL students (EL 24). If I had students from PR I would use this book to teach a lesson on the US territory and hope to optimize students engagement by learning more about where other classmates are from (UDL 7.2). 6y

NanaBurf Kids need to know they are part of the USA even if not a state. Great book to help children that have refugees from the hurricane in their classes to understand their culture 6y
