So total time is around 38 hours (lost a bit of time when my phone restarted 😕). Finished 3 (albeit short) books and put a lot of progress into a few others. I call that a success 😎

Pickpick

Begrudgingly, despite the typos in the Manx folklore, this was a very interesting read. It mentioned quite a few types of fairy I had heard either very little or nothing about before, and the collection of texts was fascinating.
A good read, even if in need of a better editor 🧚‍♀️

Just a few more hours a work then I'm free to read again! I have tomorrow off to make up for being called in on Sunday😊

I love that she's tried to include the Isle of Man's fairies in this book, I really do, but since she was a professional folkorist.... HOW COULD SHE GET THIS SO WRONG?!?!?!?!?

It should be Moddey Dhoo 😠 and where did she get the 'g' from? I know our pronunciations are weird, but I assure you there is no 'g' sound. And Dhoo means black not dog so surely she didn't mix that up?!

I'm not having much book luck today 😂
