This nonfiction chapter book is a great resource for a lesson on sea monsters. Magic Tree House is a well known series and this book is a companion to another book in the series. By having a fiction book accompanied by a nonfiction, it allows the students to really think about the information they‘re learning. Laura.S I would use this book for an author study because the authors have created such an amazing series. UDL 3.3 aligns in that this book gives lots of information for students to process. EL 20 is super important because it states important words should be put in presentations or on the board. This book would be so much fun to read during a science lesson! 7y
LisaMart @Laura.S I used to love reading the Magic Tree House books when I was a kid. I owned so many, but I never had any of their nonfiction companions. These are an awesome resource for elementary school teachers!! Can‘t believe what I‘ve been missing out on all this time. Thanks for posting on one, now I‘ll definitely have to go check them out. 7y
DrSpalding Don‘t forget the #. There‘s nothing better than using the resource designed for the series. My favorite is the passport. Try it! 7y

AmeliaS21 This is great! I think it would be really interesting to get to look through this and learn about the different sea creatures in a science lesson! Plus, who doesn‘t love the Magic Tree House?? (edited) 7y
morganhillman This book seems like it is great to read to children. I never would have guessed it was related to Magic Tree House, but that‘s so awesome! An author study is also a great idea so the children can then compare the books that the author wrote! 7y
JenniferMc I love this series. A great way to introduce a science lesson. 7y
