pickWith Batman presumed dead, GCPD gives commissioner Gordon a high-powered suit so he can take the mantle as Gotham's protector. Coming off of the climactic Joker: Endgame arc, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are at the top of their game. And Danny Miki colors Capullo expertly, sometimes with psychedelic flair, others with brooding mystery. And in the middle is a riveting one-shot that forces Batman to confront gun violence and gentrification.
pickNew Batman, new suit, new villain. It took a bit for it to grow on me but it got there.
pickBatman is dead. Long live Batman. This is a new Batman with a new suit, working as an employee of the city. It's way more fun than I expected, too, and the art is gorgeous.
The explanation for why we have a new Barman makes sense in a way. I suspect the plot hole in seeing will either be arrested or something I have to live with and will be never explained. A magical realism element of you will.
