Grdankl the Strong, president of Krpshtskan, is plotting to take over the American government. His plan is to infiltrate the science fair at Hubble Middle School, located in a Maryland suburb just outside Washington. The rich kids at Hubble cheat by buying their projects every year, and Grdankl's cronies should have no problem selling them his government-corrupting software. But this year, Toby Harbinger, a regular kid with Discount Warehouse shoes, is determined to win the $5,000 prizeeven if he has to go up against terrorists to do it.

I love that it plays out just like a kids movie, with all the snarkiness, bumbling bad guys, pratfalls, etc. There‘s even a police chase after an Oscar Meyer Weinermobile. One thing that was disappointing was that the frog (Fester) didn‘t have a larger part in the story. After all, he‘s on the cover of the book!
Overall, it was a fun read. You do need to suspend your disbelief for it though. It‘s just a really fun time.

Another, um, reading prompt? Over on Instagram, end.notes is hosting #ScienceSeptember “If you consider it science, it counts - hard sciences, technology, social sciences, science fiction.”

Besides IT you can find various #killerKlowns. I have chosen the special "people" in Science Fair. It gets lots of kids in trouble. I love this book. It about a bunch of kids getting ready for the science fair but some seem to have MIT level projects. The floating frog is my fav. This book is full of laughs, and is a great STEM read. Appropriate as a read a loud any age but geared 4th and up. #monstermadness2017
