Jan 3 Garden #BeginsWith I like this author but I find some of his books hard to find on ebooks, so I never read this one yet. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Bailedbailed

I‘m normally into all things WWII and almost never bail on a story but I am nearly bored to tears by this book so far. The main character is basically a stereotypical 30‘s mobster that is told by the US government that in order to avoid jail time he has to assassinate a top Nazi official during the 1936 olympics in Berlin. Couldn‘t get into it. #DNF

Pickpick

A great thriller from Jeffrey Deaver. This was the first full length book I've read by Deaver and have added some of his others to my TBR. The story revolved around Paul Schumann and a secret mission of his during the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. At times my stomach turned because you could sense the beginning of all things evil... I did a combo of physical book, but mainly audio. Jefferson Mays did a good job narrating.

Pickpick

If a book about Nazi Germany can be "entertaining״ I guess this is it. Taking place over a few days in Berlin during the 1936 Olympics, Paul Schumann an American of German lineage is sent by our government to assassinate a highly placed German who is charged with rearming his country in anticipation of WWII. Plot twists abound propelling this page turner. Wildly implausible, but very serious issues are not neglected.
