Inside Out
Inside Out | Terry Trueman
3 posts | 4 read
In a busy coffee shop, a robbery goes wrong. Two gunmen hold seven hostages, including teenager Zach Wahhsted. What nobody realizes at first is that Zach is anything but ordinary and his troubled mind is more dangerous than any weapon. Terry Trueman has created a compelling character with the same shocking power and heartbreaking compassion as his Printz Honor Award debut novel, Stuck in Neutral. Ages 12+

Inside Out was a great short book for the Readathon. It was gripping from the first page, and in addition to having the fast paced suspense of the coffee shop plot, it also is told from the point of view of a main character with severe mental illness. I feel like I learned a little something. And I liked it!

Trying the old “read a really short book” gambit for #readathon so I can get the morale boost of starting and finishing a whole book in one day even though I read at a snail‘s pace. 🐌 It sucked me right in, so I think the gambit may work! #deweyapril #deweysreadathon

Sweettartlaura It‘s a great gambit 👍🏻😜. I keep short books/short stories around just for readathons now - I love it. 4y

Sad ending, a good but short read
