The Happiness Hypothesis
The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom | Jonathan Haidt
In his widely praised book, award-winning psychologist Jonathan Haidt examines the world’s philosophical wisdom through the lens of psychological science, showing how a deeper understanding of enduring maxims-like Do unto others as you would have others do unto you, or What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger-can enrich and even transform our lives.

The keys to flow: There‘s a clear challenge that fully engages your attention; you have the skills to meet the challenge, and you get immediate feedback about how you are doing at each step (the progress principle).

Oh man, the a plethora of knowledge pouring out of this book! It‘s the first time in a long time I steer away from fiction and into more psychological science based works. I‘ve got to say, I‘m loving it!

Inner peace and world peace may just be possible; it all starts with you. This book may, if read with an open mind, help to get us there.

Fantastic book, very insightful, well written and unbiased. The author makes great use of metaphors to explain complex concepts. His scientific approach to the many topics gives the book more credibility. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand how to achieve happiness.

I have done a lot of reading on happiness. This is the best synthesis of the contrasting view points of whether happiness is internal or external that I've read. It is the marriage of both that produces a supremely happy existence. Great read, lots of quotes you'll love!
