pickHey, Little Ant by Phillip and Hannah Hoose, Illustrated by Debbie Tilley is about a boy who wants to squash an ant but doesn‘t know if he should. It‘s all about making your own decisions. A good activity for this would be to ask the students whether or not they would squash the ant or leave them alone. Have them write about it.
