On the Bright Side
On the Bright Side | Hendrik Groen
The new diary from one of literature's most beloved octogenarians. On The Bright Side picks up where The Secret Diary of Hendrik Groen left off, at the care home of the anarchic Old-But-Not-Dead Club where Hendrik and his friends are determined to enjoy their autumn years full of optimism. Written with his characteristic charm and humour Hendrik proves, yet again, that age is simply a number. Praise for Hendrik Groen 'I laughed until I cried and then laughed and cried some more' - David Suchet

Laughter and sadness-it's just a part of life when you are getting older. The Old But Not Dead Yet group is at it again in the sequel to The Secret Diary of Henrik Groen 83 1/4 years old. I LOVE the elder generation, maybe it's because I miss my sweet momma or just because I've always found the golden oldies so interesting. A must read if you have a heart for the elder generation❤️

This sequel must be read. I so enjoyed spending another year with Hendrik. Perfect blend of humor, friendship, politics, and elder care in the Netherlands (not as great as I‘d presumed). Must read.

Ddzmini I loved this book 📖😍 5y

It was a Book With a laugh and a tear. I am a little bit sad that I read both books about my favourite grandpa and there is no one left! My goal for in about 50 years; ‘grandma groen‘ like the example Hendrik gave😜
