First master‘s paper book done! The writing is beautiful, but the disability rep was atrocious. Stop burying your crips, jfc.

I loved the discussion of faith and the storyline. I wished it had been a little longer and had not ended quite so abruptly.

Gorgeous cover! Moving read that deals with issues like growing up and wanting to leave home, poverty/wealth inequality, and the lengths people will go to for the hope of a better life. It didn't end exactly the way I thought it was going to, which is a good thing!

Am reading this backlist Medina novel and loving it. I didn't realize the immigrant storyline was a big part and the touch of magic is great.

prufrockery Hint water! It's my vice! (My healthy but so expensive vice.) 8y
Kelly @prufrockery same!! I...order it in bulk and have it delivered. I figure I don't drink pop so it's ok haha. 8y
