Copper and Stone: Stories
Copper and Stone: Stories | Bethany Snyder
2 posts | 1 read
A snowy afternoon among friends. Parents-to-be, each with a different outlook on life. A bored high school student, looking for something better. Family secrets, finally and suddenly divulged. "Copper and Stone" is a collection of short stories that find truth and compassion in ordinary lives and circumstances. These twelve tales of melancholy, trepidation, and woe share space with wry humor and keen observations of the human spirit. Hope is never far from the surface... but the surface is often just out of reach.

Pickpick

I'm totally biased, as I worked on two of the magazines where some of these stories originally appeared, but I found this collection delightful. Dark as all get-out at times, it's also remarkably hopeful. And true. It just feels true.

Reading by the light of my computer screen, as per usual. This time it's a book by my friend Bethany, which includes a couple of stories by her that I originally published in "Geek Force Five."
