This HF, NYTBS book is about siblings Jack and Annie as they travel back in time to the Great Plains and become aquatinted with the Lakota Tribe. has great resources for not only this book, but every other book in this series. This book would be great for GR. #UCFLAE3414SP20

hadassajl UDL 3.1 which activates or supplies background knowledge would be great to teach children about the Lakota Tribe beforehand. EL 17 which provides contextual support through visuals would work great as well. 4y
DrSpalding Knowing that Jack and Annie travel in a magic treehouse… What genre do you believe this is now? Nice detail with your universal design and English learner strategies. 4y
hadassajl @DrSpalding MF for sure! It‘s funny because as a kid, and even now, I would‘ve never thought of these books to be fantasy. I‘ve always seen them as HF. 4y
DrSpalding Correct... they certainly have historical elements but the overwhelming genre is fantasy. 4y
