Mehso-so

This was essentially a mystery with some good Native American historical facts, but I didn't think the book blurb described it properly. The middle of the book, maybe 20-30% of the book in general, didn't serve to move the story forward much. It could have been shorter and distilled down, leaner.

Could not be more frustrated right now. I'm listening to this on audiobook, and after sticking it out through stretches of "maybe I shouldn't bother finishing this", three tracks out of the last six on the final CD are damaged! Now I missed one of the most important parts! UGH!

autumnprivett Does your library have a digital service? (Hoopla, One-Click Digital, Playaway.) That's saved me from scratched discs a few times. 8y
jeff Agree with @aprivett -- Overdrive has been great for digital audiobooks from the library 8y
ChristieStratos @jeff and @aprivett I keep meaning to respond 😆 Yes, I have to check Overdrive - that's a good idea! My library always tends to disappoint with how few books they offer on Overdrive, but I'm definitely going to check! 8y

I just started this on audiobook - I'm on disc 3 of 10. This is historical fiction with lots of fascinating facts packed in. Once in a while it sounds like the authors are telling you something instead of integrating it naturally. So many Native American cultural aspects I didn't know about!
