mandarchy I ❤ this cookbook. The split pea soup (skip the flour step), the chicken and dumplings, and the pan cake recipes are my favorite. If you can find early sour apples and make homemade applesauce and then try the applesauce cookies 😋 I swear the early apple applesauce makes a huge difference. So good. 2y

mandarchy @SRWCF it sounds like a lot of work, but seriously don't bother unless you make your own sweetened applesauce. Which is easy. But it also helped to have those early apples... I miss that tree. 😕 I guess it's a good thing I don't need to be eating cookies. 2y
