I gave this book a 5/5 when I first read it at publication. Gratified to discover I still consider it THAT good! I simply ❤ a couple of things about Duran's books...first, her character development is top-notch, and second, her love scenes are vividly sensual. There are conversations in this one between H/h that are so enlightening and beautifully written! #romantsy #osrbc

This one is a re-read for me. I've recently joined Katharine Ashe's new FB Feminist Romance book club, and this is our first selection. It's been awhile since I've read this one so I'm looking forward to refreshing my memory. And with this, I'm switching gears...a break from historical mysteries and back to my historical romances. I ❤ Duran's books! #romantsy #osrbc

I was so looking forward to this one after the last in the series. I was not disappointed. Nick is yummy. I have a soft spot for the gaming hell hero from the gutters and Catherine was a great heroine for him. so romantic and I so wanted him too have her as he deserved to be loved. Sigh

The 4th book in the series and a great addition. I really enjoyed the strength and stubbornness of both Nick and Catherine, and how they worked through their issues.
I really liked how Nick would stand toe to toe with Catherine and tell her like it is - he was a such a raw hero, in a great way.
