I read Piers Anthony in hs and it was my first book that ever addressed teen depression and suicide. It was fantasy sci-fi and the romance was crazy but I loved it for the fact it‘s main character Colene was definitely not perfect and that it took friends to remind her that life is important. Sometimes you need friends to help you see that.
